Wi-Fi & Staying Connected at Sea

Virgin includes Wi-Fi with your fare, with the level depending on your fare tier — from basic browsing up to faster, stream-friendly premium access on higher tiers. If you plan to work, video call, or stream, it's worth checking which tier your fare includes and upgrading if needed.

Working remotely?

Plenty of sailors do. Premium Wi-Fi handles calls and streaming best, and there are quiet corners around the ship to set up. One quirk: if you use a VPN, you may need to switch it off to book activities in the app.

In port

To avoid roaming charges ashore, many sailors use a travel eSIM for data in port, or simply rely on Wi-Fi at the pier and cafes. Virgin's own private beach even has coverage, so you're rarely truly off-grid unless you want to be.
