Bar Tab

Pre-loaded drink credit you buy ahead and get bonus value on (load more, get more). It's for beverages — cocktails, wine, specialty coffees, and the like. Think of it as pre-buying drinks at a discount.

Sailor Loot

Flexible onboard credit you can spend on almost anything — the spa, shore excursions, retail, dining extras, and yes, drinks too. It often comes as a promotion or perk rather than something you pre-buy.

The simple rule

Bar Tab = drinks, with a bonus. Sailor Loot = spend-anywhere. If you're a steady drinker, a Bar Tab stretches your money; if you want flexibility, Sailor Loot is gold. Many sailors end up with both.
