Virgin is unusually relaxed about a bottle of your own. You're allowed to bring up to two 750ml bottles of wine per cabin aboard at embarkation — lovely for a Sea Terrace toast — while hard liquor and coolers aren't permitted.

Let the ship bring it to you

• Shake for Champagne — shake your phone in the app and a bottle is delivered to wherever you are.

• Delivery add-ons — champagne, cocktail buckets, and treats can be pre-ordered to your cabin for a celebration.

• Sail-away bubbles — there's often a champagne moment at the sail-away party up on deck.

And remember, most non-alcoholic drinks (water, sodas, drip coffee, tea) are already included — so the Bar Tab is really just for the fun stuff.
