Getting there
From London, the train from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour takes about 1.5–2 hours, or it's a similar drive via the A3/M27. Make a trip of it
Portsmouth is worth a look in its own right — the Historic Dockyard, HMS Victory and the harbour — or spend a couple of pre-cruise days in London and train down. Arriving the day before is wise if your sailing leaves in the morning.
