Getting there

Iceland's international gateway is Keflavík Airport (KEF), about 45–50 minutes from Reykjavík. The Flybuscoach connects the airport to the city, and taxis or pre-booked transfers run the same route; from central Reykjavík, the Skarfabakki pier is a short taxi ride. Where Valiant Lady sails

Reykjavík is mainly an embarkation and turnaround port for repositioning voyages — for example a Reykjavík-to-New York crossing by way of Greenland and Atlantic Canada, and the far end of Portsmouth-to-Icelandsailings. These are sea-day-rich, wildly scenic North Atlantic routes, so they suit Sailors who love the crossing as much as the ports.
