Sailing from Miami: Virgin Voyages' Main US Homeport Guide

Miami is Virgin Voyages' flagship US homeport, and it comes with a real perk: Virgin sails from its own custom terminal — Terminal V — at PortMiami, designed for a faster, friendlier boarding experience.

Getting to Terminal V

Miami International Airport (MIA) is only about 15 minutes from PortMiami; Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is roughly 45 minutes and often a good fare alternative. A taxi or rideshare from MIA is quick and inexpensive; we can also pre-arrange a transfer so a driver's waiting when you land.

On the day

Head to Terminal V at your Terminal Arrival Time — arriving earlier won't get you aboard sooner. Boarding generally begins in the early afternoon. Bring a hard credit card for check-in and keep day-one essentials in your carry-on.

Make a Miami minute of it

Fly in a day early and enjoy the city — South Beach, Little Havana, a walk along the water. It's cheap insurance against travel-day delays and a great start to the trip.
