This morning, we decided to have breakfast at Cassell’s Hamburgers - a short walk from The Line hotel in Koreatown. (Less than a block away.). It’s located inside the historic Hotel Normandie in Los Angeles.
3600 W. 6th Street
Los Angeles, CA 90020
Cassell’s opened in 1948. They grind their own fresh beef daily, make their own mayonnaise, and specialize in Hamburgers.
They are open from 8am until 11pm daily (and stay open until 2am on Friday & Saturday).
Service was just okay, but the food was great. They serve coffee from La Colombe (amazing coffee - check them out here - https://www.lacolombe.com/pages/founders).
For breakfast, we both ordered the B'fast Burger, which intrigued us because it had hash browns instead of a bun. It was absolutely delicious. Add a mimosa (plus Sprite, Iced Tea and water), and a side of bacon & sausage, and we had a really delicious meal.
This was a great breakfast, and definitely filled us up - so much so that we couldn't finish! We were able to skip lunch, and we were ready for our hike up to the top of the Hollywood sign (more on that in an upcoming blog)!
If you're in the LA area and want a great burger, give Cassell's a try. We'll be back!
