Today is our last day on board Oasis of The Seas and this week flown by! We are very sad! Today, we want to try to do some of the things we have missed.
As usual, we ordered room service for 7:30am (tea, coffee & pastries), and it was delivered on time.
We plan to start the day with breakfast at Johnny Rockets on the Boardwalk. Wish us luck! We weren’t very lucky yesterday when we tried to eat there. For breakfast they don’t have a cover charge so this is a little secret for a less crowded option, note this is only available on Oasis Class ships. The breakfast options are eggs, omelets, hash browns, toast, etc.
Well, even with our best intentions, we didn’t make it there in this trip. I guess it will have to be next time.
We spent the morning packing and relaxing. It was a gray day outside with intermittent rain showers.
At around noon, we met our friends and went to lunch in the main dining room.
Today, in addition to the lunch menu, they had an extensive lunch buffet, which was actually very good and seemed to be what most people choose.
The potato soup was outstanding.
I got entirely too much food on the buffet. I barely ate a quarter of it, but everything looked really good, and I haven’t eaten breakfast.
Right after lunch, we headed up to the top deck to try out the Zip Line. This is located on the aft of the ship crossing the boardwalk deck. I often wonder if people think this cost money, because there was never really a long line. We showed up around 1pm, and there were only 2-3 people in line. First, they scan your sea pass card, and you sign a waiver form on their tablet, and put on a white armband. Next, they help you gear up with the equipment and you are off! There are no real instructions other than to put your feet down on the yellow on the other side.
It was a lot of fun.
Afterwards, we walked around the ship a bit.
Hmmmm we hadn’t tried Sabor yet. We decided to head down there for some drinks, chips, salsa & guacamole.
But first, we never discovered the wipeout cafe until the last day. They had a great selection of pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, fries and ice cream!
Sabor was quite busy and we had to wait about 5 minutes for a table to open up.
Time for some margaritas!
Simply Perfect Margarita
We fell in love with the 3-in-1 avocado peeler. They sell them for $16 at the restaurant, but I found the same one on Amazon for $9.95. We decided not to buy it on board.
After our snack, we walked around and went to the Solarium for a bit. Oh look! Carnival is right behind us!
After the Solarium, time to get ready for dinner. Tonight is Chops Grille!
Shrimp cocktail and scallops appetizers
Three cheese roasted onion soup
Grilled Black Pepper Bacon
Shrimp and crab cake
King Caesar salad with caviar
Another scallops appetizer
9oz Filet mignon
Spicy grilled shrimp
Time for dessert!
Red velvet cake
Liquid center chocolate cake (delicious)
Haute & Steamy (So good!)
Chocolate mud pie
After dinner it was time to pack because this great week has come to a close.
For those interested in tonight’s main dining room menu:
Also, I found a room service hang card, so here is that menu
Overall we were very pleased with our time on the Oasis of The Seas, the food was some of the best I’ve ever had on a cruise. The service was also outstanding nearly everywhere we went. The entertainment WAS the best I’ve ever had on board any cruise.
Tomorrow, I will post my final thoughts, along with the cruise compasses, etc.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask and thank you for following along on our amazing vacation!
